Assistant General Manager (Full-Time)

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) helps drive lease-ups, resident satisfaction, and financial success while leading a motivated team. This role ensures smooth operations, top-tier service, and a thriving community. Serves as a leader in our organization ensuring associates have the tools, resources, and direction to be engaged and successful.


Key Responsibilities

  • Embody our mission: See Clearly. Simplify Everything. Communicate Effectively.
  • Know the ins and outs of property management, including Fair Housing laws and tenant rights.
  • Oversee finances, leasing, marketing, maintenance, and daily operations.
  • Provide stellar customer service to residents, prospects, vendors, and community partners.
  • Recruit, train, and support employees to maintain high occupancy and performance.
  • Organize on-site operations and hold team members accountable.
  • Drive leasing and marketing efforts with clear expectations and resources.
  • Monitor market trends and competition to keep leasing strategies sharp.
  • Participate and contribute to the property's (bi-annual) turn over/make-ready process.
  • Represent the property in court for evictions and tenant disputes as needed.

  • Pass a background check and have reliable transportation.
  • Excel in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and a team-oriented mindset.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); Entrata experience is a plus.

Education & Qualifications

  • Maintains highest standards of professional customer service
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Prior experience in student or multi-family housing
  • Working knowledge of Entrata is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft office 365 suite
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Housing laws.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred.

Team Structure

Oversees: Leasing Agents, Leasing Assistants, Accounting Staff, and supplementary team members.

Reports to the: General Manager
