What's the role about?
As part of Reiss' Production department, you'll be joining as our Assistant Garment Technologist within the Childrenswear department. You will assist our Senior Garment Technologist with sample fitting, management, and commenting on all pre-shipment samples. This role requires administrative support and the ability to work independently.
Who you are
- Prior experience as a Garment Technologist, specifically in Childrenswear
- You have a relevant degree in Design, Garment Tech, Pattern Cutting, or Product Development
- Good knowledge of garment construction, pattern cutting, fitting, and grading
- Self-motivated and team-oriented
- Organized and able to prioritize workload
- Attention to detail and strong communication skills
What you'll be doing
- Supporting our Senior Garment Technologist with administrative responsibilities and booking all pre-shipment samples onto NOVA
- Handling e-commerce and buying samples for transfer
- Transferring samples from the department to the warehouse, which will go back into stock after shipping
- Managing data entry for garment lengths and technical specifications, including fit description, weight, closure type, and location
- Supporting the team in checking and approving Wash Care Labels on TRS and inputting labels into tech packs
- Completing mainline comments under the guidance of the Senior Garment Technologist
- Assisting with end-of-season reporting and updating technical documents, guidelines, and manuals
- Measuring and fitting pre-shipment samples with the Senior Garment Technologist and approving them
- Managing supplier CP approval deadlines, chasing fit samples, organizing fit sessions, and taking notes
