South Umpqua High School has two Assistant Football Coach positions available. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about mentoring youth and contributing to a positive team culture.
Responsibilities: - Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of planning, organizing, and supervising the football program.
- Support the implementation of practice plans, game strategies, and player development.
- Promote good sportsmanship, academic achievement, and team unity.
- Ensure player safety through proper supervision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Attend all practices, games, team meetings, and required training sessions.
Minimum Qualifications: - Prior coaching experience is preferred, with a strong understanding of football techniques, strategies, and player development.
- Must meet all Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA) coaching certification requirements.
- Demonstrated knowledge of injury prevention, athletic conditioning, and skill instruction.
- Experience as a football player at the high school or higher level is desirable.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
