The Row at Assembly Row, a Colwen Hotels Property, is seeking an engaging, friendly, and detail-oriented Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to join our team. In this role you will work with the Banqueting Manager and General Manager to coordinate, supervise, and direct all property food and beverage operations, while controlling costs and driving guest and associate satisfaction.

General Responsibilities: - Oversee all front and back of the house restaurant and bar operations
- Ensure guest satisfaction by promoting excellent service; respond to guest complaints tactfully and professionally
- Review, respond and report on guest feedback in a timely manner
- Set Guest Satisfaction Goals and work with Executive Chef and FOH associates to improve service and product
- Maintaining quality control for all food served
- Project future needs for goods, kitchen supplies, and cleaning products; order accordingly
- Coordinate delivery of items to guest rooms in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
- Abide by all state, local and municipal laws and regulations pertaining to liquor and food safety
- Train, evaluate, motivate, coach, and discipline employees in the F&B Operations to ensure that established Colwen and Brand core standards are met.
- Maintain proper inventory controls; Create par stock lists to ensure product is always available
- Control labor expenses through effective scheduling and inventory control while focusing on creative revenue generation solutions.
- Manage expenses within budgeted guidelines
- Evaluate market trends and ideas for liquor specials and presentation
- Conduct pre-shift briefings daily and bi-monthly departmental meetings
- Seek ways to cut waste and decrease operational costs
- Ensure that all the administrative functions are performed accurately, such as cash handling, credit card transactions, and staff scheduling
- Recommend changes to menus
- Oversee Banquet Functions in the absence of banquet manager
- Greet banquet clients upon their arrival and review BEO to confirm timing and set up.
- Attend Resume and BEO meetings weekly
- Properly close guest checks, process cash and credit card payments, and settle complimentary meals using the POS system
- Be system administrator for POS
- Perform Other Duties as assigned
