An esteemed hospitality property is seeking an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to oversee and elevate its In-Room Dining and Minibar operations during evening hours. This temp-to-permanent role offers an opportunity to contribute to a high-touch guest experience while gaining leadership exposure within a luxury environment. This is an ideal position for a poised and service-driven professional looking to grow into a long-term role with one of the most guest-focused teams in hospitality. Compensation is $30 per hour, with overtime available based on business needs.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead evening operations for In-Room Dining and Minibar, ensuring excellence in guest service and delivery
  • Motivate and guide team members, providing support and real-time coaching
  • Manage evening staffing, floor coverage, and service execution
  • Facilitate VIP orders and specialized amenities, ensuring accuracy and a sense of occasion
  • Collaborate with teams on custom in-room experiences for events and special guests
  • Monitor inventory levels and vendor interactions to maintain smooth operations
  • Uphold all safety, sanitation, and health compliance standards
  • Execute financial procedures, including evening close-outs and reporting
  • Address and resolve guest concerns with a calm, service-first approach
  • Represent the department at meetings when scheduled, offering insights from PM operations
  • Foster a work culture that reflects warmth, discretion, and professionalism

Required Qualifications:


  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience leading a team in food & beverage or luxury service settings
  • Professional demeanor with an eye for detail and personalized service
  • Solid organizational and time management skills during high-volume periods
  • Ability to work PM/Evening shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic business software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Foundational understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and labor management

Preferred:


  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a luxury hotel or high-end food & beverage operation
  • Previous experience in union environments
  • Experience specifically in In-Room Dining or Minibar operations
  • Formal training or hospitality certification

Physical Requirements:


  • Frequent movement of trays, carts, or inventory items
  • Walking and standing throughout shift, including stair access
  • Bending and lifting for minibar stocking and room service setups
  • Ability to use technology, handle service reports, and ensure cleanliness standards
  • Occasional use of cleaning agents and protective wear as needed
