Responsible for the entire accounting cycle including journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, report generation, account receivables, account payables and other related parties financial-related tasks. You will work closely with other accounting staff, the property management, and asset management teams in order to produce reporting results. Responsibilities:


  • Overseeing and reviewing the full-cycle accounting for new and existing properties.
  • In charge of managing all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, deposits reconciliations, audit management and fees, and cash analysis.
  • Leading the preparation of the monthly account reconciliation process.
  • Monthly review of general ledger for accuracy and completeness.
  • Preparing and analyzing timely monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and management reports for assigned properties, and coordinating financial reporting with Principal and Investors.
  • Interacting and providing support to other business areas (Asset Management, Property Management, etc.) as it relates to assigned properties.
  • Budgeting and forecasting on both accrual and cash basis.
  • Calculating distributions to members/ partners based on operating agreements/partnership agreements.
  • Monitoring and reporting portfolio of loan balances, draw availability, and other loan details.
  • Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting, review leases, contracts, and other legal documents as it relates to accounting and risk.
  • Responsible for directing and controlling the workflow of accounting staffs
  • Serving as liaison to external accountants and lenders.
  • Assisting with the year end tax-filing process.
  • Understanding of investment structures, waterfalls, mortgage documents, partnership agreements, and closing statements.
  • Assisting with special projects and other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • CPA/Auditing Experience
  • 5 - 10 years' experience, with at least some of that experience in commercial real estate or related fields.
  • Highly proficient with Excel.
  • Accounting software experience preferred - Appfolio, Quickbook. Quick to acclimate to new technology.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to detailed financial accounting and reporting.
  • Great attitude, solution-oriented. Excellent attention to detail.
  • Team player and can collaborate with other teams in the organization.
  • Ability to work effectively under multiple, and often changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
