Job Description GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. is looking for an Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO)/Assistant Government Property Administrator (AGPA) to assist the Corporate Facility Security Officer (FSO)/Corporate Government Property Administrator (GPA) with the management, administration, and coordination of Kratos' security and government property programs to ensure compliance with government and company policy and procedure. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Support the Corporate FSO/GPA in ensuring compliance with all applicable security and government property related requirements, to include requirements directed by Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), the 32 CFR Part 117, "National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual" Rule (NISPOM), the Security Executive Agent Directive (SEAD) 3, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) policies and procedures.

• Assist in managing various security and government property processes to include but not limited to; visit requests, initial security clearance submissions, reinvestigations, SEAD 3 reporting, notifying and reviewing annual property inventories, Contractor Self-Assessments and contract close-outs.

• Participate in the preparation for security and government property audits, reviews and inspections, to include Self-Inspections, Contractor Self-Assessments and Property Management System Analysis.

• Maintain security and government property records, reports, and documentation in compliance with government and company policies and procedures.

• After-hour work may be required in response to emergencies or urgent requests.

• Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities. Experience and Skills KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Top Secret clearance required, or the ability to obtain an interim TS prior to appointment.

• Must obtain FSO certification for possessing facility within 6 months of appointment.

• Preferred knowledge, and understanding, of the following: o 32 CFR Part 117 NISPOM o SEAD 3 Reporting Requirements o DCMA Guidebook and 22 Elements o FAR and DFARS Clauses/Regulations o Defense Information System for Security (DISS) o National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) o Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) Preferred familiarity with completing/submitting the following: o Visit Requests o Initial Security Clearances o Reinvestigations o SEAD 3 Reports o Annual Self-Inspections o Annual Inventories o Contract Close-Outs o Contractor Self-Assessments Required skills are as follows: o Strong communicator, verbal and written o Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail o Manages time well and is self-driven o Problem-solver with a desire to learn o Proficient in Microsoft Suite, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in security and/or government property or 4 years of equivalent work experience without a degree. WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position would be supporting the corporate security team which manages the San Diego corporate headquarters office.
