Assistant Engineering Manager
£45-£50k per annum
8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday

Concept Recruitment are delighted to be working with our Featherstone based food production client to recruit an Assistant Engineering Manager on a full time, permanent basis.
The Assistant Engineering Manager will ensure that the team drives improvements to production efficiencies and experience in an Engineering Team Leader/Senior Engineer/Assistant Manager position is essential.
Role Responsibilities:
Supporting and managing the Engineering team s day to day operations of the department and ensuring any issues are reported to the Engineering Manager
Assisting in developing and implementing engineering strategies and procedures
Co-ordinating with different teams to ensure the smooth execution of projects
Monitoring and maintaining all engineering equipment to ensure optimal functionality
Driving the development and utilisation of the CMMS system
Controlling the PPM s system to ensure a robust process has been carried out
Looking after contractors to ensure all paperwork is up to date (Rams, insurances etc.)
Carrying out regular checks to ensure all contractors are inducted before entering the site
Driving and managing the apprenticeship programme within the business
Stepping up and directing the department in the engineering managers absence
Responsible for the completion and control of the documentation for engineering, liaising with the Engineering Manager to unsure the documents are accurate
Ensuring all disciplinary and grievance matters are reported in accordance with companies processes
Implementing safety measures and ensuring compliance with industry regulations
Overseeing trouble shooting and repairs to resolve equipment issues
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
A recognised Engineering Qualification (minimum Level 3)
Proven Experience in an Engineering Management or Supervisory Role
Strong knowledge of engineering procedures and principles
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Strong leadership abilities and a collaborative work style
Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
