ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for observing and analyzing the integrity of play and tracking guests and employee activity. Assume responsibility and accountability for the overall function and performance of assigned shift.
Supervises shift of EGM Attendance.
Assists the EGM Shift Manager in the operation of the EGM department during assigned shift and fills in for and works with the EGM Shift Manager.
Assists in the formulation, development and implementation of goals and objectives for the department.
Train all new employees in the assigned shift to ensure that these employees receive the proper knowledge to perform their duties at an acceptable level.
Implement departmental and company procedures including all policies and procedures regarding the security of monies, parts, equipment and required documentation.
Ensures proper staffing levels to provide adequate floor coverage and a high level of customer and machine service with minimum labor hours.
Delegate assignments to ensure that all functions of the shift are carried out in a timely and efficient manner. Track assigned tasks to ensure their proper completion.
Ensures all slot operations staff are familiar with and accurately completes all necessary shift paperwork to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of all departmental records and reports. Investigate any discrepancies found.
Perform payroll duties including submitting timecards/sheets in a timely manner and maintaining accurate and up-to-date attendance records and personnel files for each of the employees on an assigned shift.
Maintain a working knowledge of all Downstream Casino Resort's Gaming Operation facilities including special promotions and events to provide pertinent information to employees and guests.
Evaluate shift employees to ensure the maintenance of an acceptable performance level.
Assist with recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching and discipline, terminations, and other personnel related issues.
Communicate regularly with employees and keep them informed of all casino activities and events.
Settles guest disputes that cannot be readily resolved by subordinates.
Provides exceptional guest service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner always. Maintain a professional work environment with
supervisors and staff.
Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
Attend all necessary training meetings.
Assist in other projects as directed.
Duties, responsibilities, requirements, and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.
Must be at least 18 years old or older upon employment.
High School Diploma or its equivalent required.
Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university, or two to four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of both.
Minimum of 5 years of slot operations experience and at least two years personnel supervisory experience.
Game performance experience desirable.
Knowledge of casino rules, regulations, and procedures.
Must possess excellent communication skills.
Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees, and customers.
Must be able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and employees.
Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.
