POSITION SUMMARY
Provides supervision, training, direction, and performance monitoring to assigned staff of the University Transplant Center (UTC.) Supports daily operational productivity by coordinating patient care consults and managing role specific functions as assigned by The Executive Director, Senior Director of Transplant Operations and Medical Directors to facilitate high quality, cost-effective care for the Transplant patient population adhering to UH and regulatory requirements. Works with staff at all levels to optimize efficiency and improve operational workflow as necessary. Recognizes problems with existing procedures and employs professional knowledge to make necessary decisions and formal changes. Promotes the Health System's mission, purpose, goals, objectives and commitment to service excellence.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A Master's degree in Social Work is required. Five years of related, progressively responsible health care experience is required. Two years of supervisory experience is required. Experience working with Organ Transplant patients is preferred.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION
Current Social Work licensure in the State of Texas is required. Must maintain CPR certification.
