Edgerton Care Center is looking for a full-time Assistant Director of Nursing.

Qualifications and Experience:
Graduate of accredited school of nursing
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse in good standing
Minimum One year nursing experience providing direct care in long-term care setting
Competent in leadership and communication skills
Ability to plan, develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively, professionally and positively with all residents, staff and other healthcare providers, families and the public
CPR certified
Must be English literate and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Essential Functions of the Job:
Proficiency in documentation. Must be detailed orientated and organized.
Infection Control Program Leader
Knowledge of nursing principles (geriatrics, long-term care, rehabilitation, and acute medical care) and professional standards of nursing practice, and ability to apply to residents' specific circumstances. Able to identify, implement, and evaluate appropriate objectives and interventions for residents.
Demonstrated competency in clinical skills needed for facility resident population.
Demonstrated competency in physical, behavioral and functional capacity assessment of long-term care residents.
Sufficient organizational and interpersonal skills to train, assign, motivate staff, elicit work output, improve quality and interact effectively with residents, families, interdisciplinary team members, administration, government officials, consultants and others in addition to staff.
Demonstrates knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient/resident and their clinical condition. Evaluates patient/resident responses to medications.
Observant for significant changes in resident's condition and communicates this to the IDT for the purpose of the ensuring quality care.
Demonstrates and is knowledgeable of the importance of maintaining confidentiality of resident and facility information.
Must have organizational skills, ability to assess, plan and implement and evaluate patient/resident care. Must be able to demonstrate ability to handle multiple priorities and the ability to direct and evaluate the activities of others.
Sufficient mobility and strength to move freely through the building to assure resident safety at all times and to assist, transfer, or otherwise move residents of facility out of danger in case of emergency
