Responsibilities
The Operations group within NCT provides daily operations and oversight of all orders, repairs and maintenance functions for all campus-wide voice, video, edge networking (wired and wireless) and security operations and infrastructure.
This position is responsible for the management, administrative direction, and coordination of activities and staff of the Network Communication Technologies (NCT) Operations Section.
Supervises and manages the NCT Operations area activities. This would include the daily operations and oversight of all orders, repairs and maintenance functions for all campus-wide voice, video, edge networking (wired and wireless) and security operations and infrastructure, including the strategic planning and budgeting for the NCT Operations Group.
Oversight of all campus-wide communication infrastructure which would include but not be limited to the following: UPSs, racking, shelving, CAT5E, CAT6 copper wiring, CATV coax, fiber optic cabling, other low voltage wiring as needed.

The collection, management and documentation of all pertinent information related to campus wide communications infrastructure as it relates to Network operations.
Advises management on the revision of established policies, procedures & standards to ensure current policies remain up to date & relevant in a dynamic networking environment. Interfaces with representatives from other universities & vendors in Network Operations.
Other duties as related. A valid driver's license will be needed so that a state vehicle, ITS fleet vehicle, or golf cart can be used to transport equipment to various locations across campus.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years' experience related to technical services or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)
A valid Florida or Georgia driver's license or the ability to obtain one
