Job Summary: Provide services to Upward Bound 1 project participants; maintain relationships with partner schools; coordinate day-to-day operations and schedule activities, programs, and speakers for the UB after-school program; coordinate academic support services; monitor academic progress of students; assist with the summer residential academic program. This is a full-time, exempt, grant funded administrative position located off-campus at a designated school site. Travel to the Chicago campus will be required during the summer session and for all scheduled program meetings. This position reports to the Director of Upward Bound Programs. The work schedule is Monday-Friday (This position requires some evening/weekend hours during the academic year and summer program). Upward Bound is a federally-funded program designed to assist low-income and first generation high school students stay in school, earn their high school diploma, and then transition to the post- secondary school or college of their choice. Services provided include group and individual academic support, tutorial assistance, advisement, financial aid processing assistance and clarification, and college selection and planning assistance.

Working Hours:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: A bachelor's degree in a related field. A minimum of 3 years' experience working in student support services or federally funded programs. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and procedures and program development, implementation and evaluation required. Two or more years of professional experience working with first-generation and socially, educationally, and economically deprived populations required. Excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal skills and attention to detail. Ability to exercise considerable judgement and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships. Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence by embodying Roosevelt's core values, mission, and vision in every aspect of the role working with students, faculty, staff and visitors. A positive and professional demeanor is a must. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree preferred. Supervisory experience preferred.
