Key Responsibilities

Kitchen Operations
  • Oversee assigned meals following menu schedule
  • Ensure food is prepared and served at scheduled times
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and order
  • Comply with OSHA and food service standards
  • Enforce personal hygiene and appropriate attire requirements
Supervision & Training
  • Supervise kitchen helpers during Chef's absence
  • Train and oversee beneficiaries in kitchen duties
  • Ensure compliance with food safety protocols
  • Fill in for Resident Manager as needed (evening/overnight shift)
Facility Management
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
  • Monitor food safety and storage standards
  • Assist with inventory management
  • Support overall kitchen operations
Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of accredited food service program preferred
  • Six months institutional cooking experience preferred
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Basic math skills
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow food safety protocols
