LHH is collaborating with a dynamic organization to find an Assistant Controller. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in public accounting, experience in accounting research, and expertise in financial consolidation and internal controls. Position is hybrid, 3 days in-office.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements and reports.
- Manage monthly closing processes.
- Supervise general ledger reconciliations and journal entries.
- Handle foreign currency transactions.
- Oversee related party transactions.
- Oversees Corporate processes relating to cash transactions, AR, prepaids, fixed assets, EQ, AP, accruals, DTF accounts etc.
- Review new supplier documents and expense reports.
- Assist with financial audits and forecasts.
- Develop budgets and business plans with department managers.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Audit workflows for proper authorization.
- Prepare internal reports and special projects.
- Hire, train, and manage staff.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting; Master's and CPA preferred.
- 4+ years of senior-level finance/accounting experience; construction industry experience preferred.
- Experience in public and private accounting and audits.
- Knowledge of finance, budgeting, and cost control.
- Familiarity with financial reporting systems and regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
- Effective training and management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
