LHH is collaborating with a dynamic organization to find an Assistant Controller. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in public accounting, experience in accounting research, and expertise in financial consolidation and internal controls. Position is hybrid, 3 days in-office.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements and reports.
  • Manage monthly closing processes.
  • Supervise general ledger reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Handle foreign currency transactions.
  • Oversee related party transactions.
  • Oversees Corporate processes relating to cash transactions, AR, prepaids, fixed assets, EQ, AP, accruals, DTF accounts etc.
  • Review new supplier documents and expense reports.
  • Assist with financial audits and forecasts.
  • Develop budgets and business plans with department managers.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Audit workflows for proper authorization.
  • Prepare internal reports and special projects.
  • Hire, train, and manage staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting; Master's and CPA preferred.
  • 4+ years of senior-level finance/accounting experience; construction industry experience preferred.
  • Experience in public and private accounting and audits.
  • Knowledge of finance, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting systems and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
  • Effective training and management skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
