The Assistant Controller supports the Controller by managing key functions of the accounting department, including accounts payable, month-end close processes, productivity reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial audits. This role involves resolving discrepancies in financial records and overseeing special projects.

Responsibilities:
- The Assistant Controller assists the Controller with accounts payable, month-end close, reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Provide support for audits and manage special projects as needed.
- The Assistant Controller oversees accounting operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Lead and optimize accounting processes for continuous improvement as the Assistant Controller.
- Collaborate with the Controller on financial reporting and analysis as the Assistant Controller.
- Drive improvements in accounting practices and internal controls under the direction of the Assistant Controller.
- The Assistant Controller manages multiple tasks independently with strong attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Minimum 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 4 years in a senior role.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software systems.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and GASB standards.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills as an Assistant Controller.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
