High-growth manufacturing/distribution company in Palm Beach County, FL (hybrid) is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their growing team. Report directly to the CFO and serve as a leader and mentor to the team.
Will oversee all daily accounting operations, monthly/quarterly/annual close processes, general ledger, preparing financial statements, financial reporting, purchase accounting and due diligence for M&A activities, and serve as the liaison for external audits.
Background Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Master's degree preferred, not required
- CPA or CPA Candidate highly preferred
- 8-12 years of progressive experience, including a combination of public and corporate accounting
- Prior or current public accounting experience
- Experience working with a private equity backed company highly preferred
- Must have strong communication skills as this role is highly visible
