Job Title: Assistant Construction Manager - Multifamily (South Florida)

Location: Miami, FL (and surrounding South Florida markets)

Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Construction Manager to support multifamily and high-rise residential projects across South Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 12 months of general contracting or field experience to grow within a fast-paced, high-impact development environment. You'll work alongside experienced construction professionals and development teams, contributing to the execution and delivery of quality residential buildings.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Construction Manager and site teams throughout all phases of construction, from pre-construction through final closeout.
  • Support onsite construction activities by monitoring progress, documenting updates, and helping ensure timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and vendors to help keep schedules on track and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Conduct routine site walks to track progress, reinforce safety practices, and flag potential concerns.
  • Help manage daily logs, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation using construction management platforms (eg, Procore).
  • Support the tracking of budgets, invoices, and change orders in coordination with senior team members.
  • Assist with permitting, inspection scheduling, and compliance with local building codes.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, trades, and consultants to support smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Participate in punch list walks, closeout processes, and securing TCO/CO as projects near completion.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 12 months experience working with a general contractor or in a related construction support role.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred but not required.
  • Exposure to multifamily or high-rise residential construction is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with construction documentation, scheduling, and safety best practices.
  • Eagerness to grow into a leadership role in construction project delivery.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Procore or similar platforms is a bonus.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
