The Assistant Clinical Director is responsible for providing leadership, training and support to the clinical staff. This position is critical to The Behavior Exchange. This position is responsible for assisting the Clinical Director in leading cost effective, high quality, compliant clinical operations with a strong commitment to employee, provider and patient satisfaction. Ensures smooth operation of the organization, its core values and mission by being a friendly, welcoming ambassador to the organization's clients, staff, and visitors.

This position is hybrid with one work from home day a week.


$3,500 SIGN ON BONUS.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assistant to Clinical Director:

  • Manages clinical services and assume the responsibilities of the Clinical Director in his/her absence. o Ensures productivity level is at 60%

Health and Safety Supervisor

  • Oversees health and safety procedures and ensures compliance and proper training
  • Reviews and signs off on all health and safety documentation including incoming health checks, and incident reports, CPI/Physical intervention, and assists with sensitive incident investigations and escalates them to Clinical Director immediately.
  • Produces clinical reports as needed.
  • Identifies areas for improvement and makes recommendations.
  • Assists Clinical Director and performs other duties as required.

Clinical Oversight

  • Facilitates program quality improvement and development initiatives.
  • Assists with clinical policy and procedure development.
  • Responsible for ensuring all zones are operating in a consistent manner and that high-quality therapy is being conducted in line with company's standards of excellence.
  • Ensures clinical compliance with internal policies, clinical protocols and regulatory requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Assumes BCBA responsibilities as needed.
  • Provides direct clinical services for own client caseload; caseload size varies based on resources and client needs.
  • Maintains a billable productivity margin to meet quarterly targets.
  • This position manages all BCBA's and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of these positions.
  • Leads clinical staff meetings, interfaces between staff and management, and handles all clinical issues that arise.
  • Acts as point of contact and responsible party for the resolution of staff/ client grievances and escalates to Clinical Director and/or VP.

Clients:

  • Conducts case reviews on a monthly basis to ensure progress through data review, analysis and provides training & recommendations to overseeing BCBA and clinical leadership.
  • Reviews and approves all Behavior Intervention Plans, Feeding Interventions, and Video/Document sharing.
  • Conducts FBA/ BIP's as needed.
  • Communicates with insurance companies as needed: providing clinical rationale to assist in obtaining insurance authorization and reauthorization for services.
  • Parents: Manages parent communication regarding services, school consultations, health and safety, parent training, and defers to appropriate department as needed
  • Oversees robust Parent Training program including Group and Individualized trainings.

Staff:

  • Provides leadership and support to the clinical team to maximize staff performance and morale to ensure high quality ABA programming and consulting on complex clinical cases.
  • Provides and coordinates comprehensive and standardized clinical training, including 40 hour RBT training, competency assessments and tracking for all clinical staff including new hires.
  • Coordinates and communicates certification examination dates with Clinical Director for Clinical staff planning and development. o Supervises BCBA's and provides direction to provide quality, compliance with the Treatment Plan, assessment and reassessment of clients' needs and continuity services.
  • Assists with planning and coordination of staff meetings/events and professional development. o Completes supervisor, BCBA and BCaBA evaluations and conducts reviews with Clinical Director and/or HR.
  • Collaborates with HR to develop performance improvement plans, implement corrective action SOP's, and to ensure performance of direct reports is meeting or exceeding expectations.
  • Ensures all tablets are properly setup for clinical staff.

Community Outreach and Engagement

  • Participates in internal and potential client /staff outreach and engagement in order to establish professional relationships, ensure satisfaction, and generate referrals.

Performs other duties as required

Reports directly to the Clinical Director.

This position manages all BCBA's and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of these positions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment and is an in-center position across locations as dictated by business needs. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. This role may occasionally encounter patients with severe problem behavior in the form of aggression, property destruction, self-injurious behaviors and/or self-stimulatory behaviors.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. Hours of operation include Monday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Schedules are assigned given the needs of the clients and the organization and are subject to change at any time. On-site leadership coverage is expected during all hours of operation regardless of day/time for any/ all clients. Work time may be required outside hours of operation to ensure coverage for clients/ staff.

TRAVEL

Travel is primarily local, across locations, during the business day. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master's Degree in ABA or related field
  • Experience in a behavioral or mental health setting preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Prior teaching or school consulting experience
  • Experience in medical/behavioral/mental health/therapy related organization
  • Informing Others, Developing Standards, Promoting Process Improvement, Inventory Control, Reporting Skills

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have completed additional training and continuing education required to provide supervision to RBTs o BCBA certification
  • Able to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Analytical skills
  • Project management skills with proven ability to design and implement processes and solutions that drive results
  • Team player with the ability to facilitate team building, develop effective partnerships and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders at all levels
