Our next Assistant Buyer will be the connection between sales floor and customers by ensuring that inventory is in the right place at the right time. This role will work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and Accounting Departments and business store operations teams, ensuring principles of cost accounting are applied to enable a thorough understanding of product costs, margin analysis and business profitability. This role will report to the Retail Purchasing Manager, while acting as a key liaison to Accounting, Operations and Retail. Where you'll be planted: This is a hybrid role that requires 1 time per month meeting at one of our Northeast Grow Operations as well as occasional vendor meetings and team meetings in King of Prussia, PA. The remainder of time is work from home. Implementing merchandising strategies on pricing architecture (Good, Better, Best). Monitoring retail inventory levels at the SKU level to ensure proper levels to support current sales plan. Developing and maintain relationships with supply partners. Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms and methods. Interfacing with retail locations on existing and new products and inventory needs. Setting retail pricing, ensuring sales, markups, and markdowns are executed. Helping develop and support product launches and promotional strategies focused on driving incremental revenue and profit dollars. Partnering with Purchasing Manager to analyze SKU-level pricing and profitability. Remaining in full compliance with the laws and regulations for each location, always. To be successful in this role we know you'll need: Associate's or Bachelor's degree is desirable. 1+ years industry experience preferred. Merchandising and buying experience (2+ years), Cannabis required Cannabis product knowledge is required. Supervisory experience required. Excellent working knowledge of Excel and use of other software systems used for analytics. Must be able to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines. Experience frequently interacting with customers, fulfilling customer requests, and addressing issues, questions, or suggestions. Professional written and verbal communication with multiple levels and departments, while being connected to the detailed support. Knowledge of office management systems and procedures. Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to positively influence people; must be capable of effectively interacting at all levels in the organization. Detail oriented with an eye on process optimization. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to manage high stress situations, and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it. Our range is based on experience, skillsets, and overall fit for the role.
