Essential Functions:

The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for supporting the Branch Manager to ensure branch success and may have both operations and sales responsibilities. They will have the responsibility of promoting the highest level of service and professionalism to all clients in a highly competitive, fast-paced environment. They will assist the Branch Manager in the completion of branch operations including but not limited to: morning dispatch, customer support, evening payouts, and recruiting Field Team Members. They may also be accountable for executing sales strategies to drive performance and increase profitability by making reactivation calls, prospecting calls, arrival calls, and collection calls. Some Assistant Branch Managers will have sales quotas.

Responsibilities:

• Direct branch operations at the discretion of or in the absence of the Branch Manager

• Supervise and direct Staffing Specialists' workflow and assignments

• Build relationships and provide effective and timely solutions to clients through exceptional customer service

• Partner and communicate with the Branch Manager for quality recruitment and placement to our clients

• Conduct job site evaluations for safety

• Implement sales and marketing strategies

• Participate in networking, community organizations, and events

• Upon assignment, meet sales quotas though selling activities including face-to-face cold calling, professional presentations, telephone communication, and written correspondence

• Follow-up regularly on any changes in client needs or to determine why previous clients are no longer active clients, initiating reactivation when appropriate

• Ensure all financial performance goals are met and striving to meet the goals

• Maintain company standards and policies within our branch

• Other duties as assigned

Operations:

• Screen 15 new Field Team Members (FTMs) per week as a branch

• Work with various VMS systems surrounding recruitment on a national account level

• Ensure that walk-in applicants complete applications, setting up credentials for onboarding

• Make copies of identifications and social documents, scanning applications and employee paperwork/certifications for I-9 employment eligibility verification

• Send out agreements and rate forms to be signed and returned by the client

• Dispatch FTMs daily

• Cancel jobs or replace FTMs as needed

• Arrange transportation for non-drivers as needed

• Ensure that flaggers are equipped with proper signage if requested

• Mitigate any issues with FTMs

• Perform daily and weekly pay outs for FTMs

• Submit all billing/invoicing for the branch by close of business on Tuesdays

• Ensure that certified payroll is completed each week

• Conduct accounts receivable collection calls

• Submit billing adjustments to Manager for approval when necessary

• Oversee complete profit and loss, budgeting, and reporting

• Maintain office supply inventory, requesting restocking as needed

• Create a culture of safety by conducting site visits and meeting with customers and FTMs

• Proactively contribute to a safer workplace for the team

• Seek ways to streamline processes for operational efficiency and excellence

• Provide support to the branch manager in overseeing daily operations and resolving any issue that arise.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

• Previous customer service, operations and/or leadership experience in a professional/corporate environment

• Ability to work a varied schedule with extended hours, evenings, weekends and holidays

• Valid driver license free from repetitive or serious violations

• Reliable transportation with the ability to travel locally, and proof of auto insurance required

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills

• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the Internet

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years selling experience, preferably in outside business-to-business, service or staffing industry

• Proven ability to sell in a highly competitive market and meet deadlines

• Knowledge of the Staffing Industry preferred but not required

• Ability to develop a sales territory as assigned

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma/GED; College Degree preferred

• 2+ years of general work experience

• 1+ year(s) of professional experience working in sales and customer service

• 1+ year(s) of supervisory experience

• Prior experience in staffing experience is a plus

• Clean background and drug screen

• Reliable transportation, with clean MVR

• Able to work weekends when needed

Environmental Conditions and Physical Demands:

• Non-confined office-type setting and is free to move about at will. The position includes driving a vehicle which includes exposure to the outside weather elements and moving mechanical parts. It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc.

• In the course of performing this position spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 50 pounds), driving, carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling and reaching.

• May operate any or all of the following: telephone, cell phone, copy and fax machines, adding machine (calculator), scanner and image systems, scanning equipment, laptop computer, personal computer, tablet, printers, or other equipment as directed.
