Salary Range: $17-19/hr

The Galaxy Restaurant and Banquet Center is a multi-revenue center property that is celebrating 25 years. We have our Sports Bar and Patio, Circle L Steakhouse, The Wine Room and Banquet Center.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Banquet Manager to support the successful planning and execution of events. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing banquet operations, ensuring exceptional service, and maintaining high customer satisfaction standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Banquet Manager in planning, organizing, and executing events.

• Supervise banquet staff to ensure excellent service delivery and adherence to standards.

• Coordinate with other departments, such as kitchen and sales, to meet event requirements.

• Manage the setup and breakdown of banquet spaces, ensuring cleanliness and organization.

• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally.

• Monitor inventory and ensure adequate supplies for banquet operations.

• Train, mentor, and evaluate banquet team members to maintain performance standards.

• Enforce safety and sanitation standards during events.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in banquet or event management, preferably in a leadership role.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Ability to lead a team and work effectively under pressure.

• Familiarity with food and beverage service standards.

• Proficiency in event management software and MS Office Suite is a plus.

• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
