Position Description :Texas State University's Ingram School of Engineering invites applications for an Electrical Engineering Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice position, which will be based at Texas State University, San Marcos, TX.
We seek an individual to enhance our faculty expertise while solidifying and complementing the core curriculum. The position involves assisting with program development and instruction at Collin College. Candidates with expertise in electrical engineering, specifically in circuits and systems, power systems and electronics, IoT, renewable energy, and Smart Grid Systems, are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to student-centered teaching and mentoring, teach general electrical and computer engineering courses, and engage in both university and professional service.

Required Qualifications:For all ranks:
- An earned master's and/or doctorate in electrical and/or computer engineering or a closely related discipline.
- The ability to teach courses in electrical and computer engineering.
- Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication.
For the Assistant Professor of Practice Rank:- Minimum of five years of recent experience in a full-time professional practice or management capacity in any of these fields: Circuits and systems, digital electronics, power systems and electronics, IoT, renewable energy, and Smart Grid Systems.
For the Associate Professor of Practice Rank:- Minimum of ten years of recent experience in a full-time professional practice or management capacity in any of these fields: Circuits and systems, digital electronics, power systems and electronics, IoT, renewable energy, and Smart Grid Systems.
Preferred Qualifications:For all ranks:
- Experience in curriculum development and enhancement in electrical and computer engineering programs.
- Proven track record of successful student mentoring and support in an academic environment.
- Industrial or post-doctoral experience.
- An area of expertise that complements the existing strengths of the department faculty.
- Knowledge about ABET accreditation procedures and deliverables.
