Summary of position:
To assist Account Manager in providing services to commercial factoring customers in an exemplary manner and to maintain such relationships as well as perform data entry tasks as needed.
Primary Job Duties (Essential functions):
- Responsible for the receipt and ensuring the accuracy of the client's funding requests by reviewing the invoices and backup documentation as dictated for said relationship.
- Prepare funding request documentation according to established internal guidelines and enter funding transactions into the factoring software.
- Act as customer service liaison between the specific clients assigned to them, maintaining positive customer relationships by proactively working with their assigned clients to meet their financial needs while adhering to our policies and procedures.
- Handle multiple tasks simultaneously under demanding deadlines.
- Prepare and review daily funding request/factoring packages for completeness and correctness in documentation after uploading. Coordinate the correction of funding deficiencies and exceptions with Account Manager.
- Apply payments as directed by the Account Manager and/or the accompanied remittance advice.
- Enter all charge-backs, reserve transactions and special charges as directed by Account Manager.
- Process and enter payoff of invoices received on a daily basis into factoring software and other data entry as needed.
- Identify and resolve any funding request that require additional approval.
- Provide assistance to the Account Manager in defending against fraud and misrepresentation by clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the factoring software for relationships including credit limits, addresses, phone numbers, contact people, etc.
- Provide daily reports to clients and respond to client inquiries on an as-needed basis.
- Assist the Account Manager to maintain client relationship.
- Facilitate communication between Account Manager, client and internal departments to insure any questions and issues are addressed in a timely manner.
- Provide internal and external client with account information and updates as requested in a timely manner.
