My client based on the outskirts of St Ives Cambridgeshire are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operator on a full time permanent basis. We are seeking candidates with basic electro-mechanical skills to work in an expanding team.
Monday - Friday
8am - 4pm
Own transport required due to location
£24-26,000 per annum DOE
Common duties may include:
Assembling different electronic components using hand tools and soldering irons.
Drilling and basic machining on plastic/metal enclosures using machine tools such as pillar-drills.
Testing finished products and parts.
Identifying and rectifying product defects and assembly problems, replacing faulty components when necessary.
Following clean room procedures and safety protocols to handle sensitive electronic components.
Collaborating with other team members to optimise production processes and quality.
Packing goods for dispatch
What Does it Take?
You need to be:
good at working with your hands (you will be given a test during the interview)
willing to learn new skills and procedures
aware of strict health and safety rules.
You need to be able to:
cope with repetitive work
follow instructions closely and understand diagrams
handle small components
safely handle machining equipment such as drills
work quickly and accurately under pressure
work well in a team and alone.
