Skills for Chicagoland's Future Is a Chicago-based nonprofit that removes barriers to employment by eliminating biases that disqualify candidates unnecessarily. Working with local and global companies, Skills brings opportunities to neighborhoods and municipalities throughout the Chicagoland area.
To be eligible for Skills for Chicagoland's Future's services, candidates must reside in Chicagoland (Cook, Lake, McHenry, Kane, Kendall, DuPage, or Will County in Illinois), and be either unemployed or underemployed, defined as working fewer than 32 hours per week or outside their field.
Freedman Seating Aside from crafting quality seating products for over 125 years, Freedman's mission is to provide growth opportunities for their employees. Freedman has a strong focus on community, investing in community events like the Chase Corporate Challenge, Feed My Starving Children, an annual health fair, and providing free flu shots.
Job Highlights
- Reads orders and follows blueprint instructions
- Builds assemblies to specified bill of materials (BOM); ability to use hand tools and power tools to assemble seats
- Obtains parts for assembly by way of blueprint, pick list, and/or order
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Candidate Profile
