Job Title: Assembly Cell Operator (2nd Shift)
Location: Alsip, IL
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4 pm - 12:30 am
Pay Range: Starting Pay will be $21.85 per hour plus $1.35 per hour shift premium for second shift. With training on 1st Shift.

Job Summary:
The Assembler is responsible for assembling all pumps with excellent workmanship and efficiency. This is a second shift position with training on first shift from the hours of 7:30 am - 4 pm, Monday-Friday. Responsibilities:

• Use manual dexterity to assemble small components.

• Perform operations and adjust testing equipment to maintain excellent efficiency and flow of work.

• Perform work such as fitting parts to close tolerances, adjusting for working and proper operation. Performs to Standard Work Instructions.

• Participates in '5 Whys' problem-solving exercises.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

• Embrace IR Business Systems tools to accomplish duties and drive continuous improvements.

• Be aware and awake to company safety procedures and standards to insure individual and collective safety, in addition to avoiding unnecessary risk to oneself, co-workers, contractors, customers, and property. Be a stand for safety having the courage to call forth and report unsafe practices.

• All other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• At least 3 (three) or more years of experience working in a manufacturing environment

• At least 2 (two) or more years of assembly experience

• At least 2 (two) or more years of experience utilizing measuring devices such as micrometers, gages, meters, calipers, and other measuring tools.

• At least 2 (two) or more years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, written and/or verbal instructions.

• At least 2 (two) or more years of experience fitting parts with close tolerances (example : 0.002)

Core Competencies:

• Mechanical Aptitude & Technical Skills: Strong understanding and hands-on experience with precision tools, machinery, and industrial processes, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.

• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while fostering a collaborative team environment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in speaking and reading English.

• Strong competency in critical thinking and effective problem-solving within technical or fast-paced environments.

Preferences:

• HS Diploma or GED Equivalent Preferred

• Soldering experience is a plus

Work Arrangement & Physical Requirements:

• An onsite industrial manufacturing position, with exposure to noise, heat, cold, fumes, and chemicals.

• Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.

• Ability to knee, bend, climb a ladder, and work in restricted spaces, walk and stand for long periods of time.

• Ability to work in high elevations, i.e., scissor lift.

Pay Range:
Starting pay will be $21.85 per hour based on experience. This is a full-time, hourly position.
The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
