Are you a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative primary teacher to join an outstanding special school, working with pupils aged 8-16 who have severe and complex learning needs.

Who are you?


  • UK-based with QTS (or equivalent) and proven teaching experience.

  • A genuine desire to work in an SEN setting and make a lasting impact.

  • Creative, calm, empathetic, and resilient.

  • Able to communicate effectively and build rapport with vulnerable learners.

  • Flexible and adaptive in your teaching style.
  • A full UK driving licence and/or the ability to teach a second subject is desirable.

What are your responsibilities?

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging Art lessons that follow the National Curriculum and meet the diverse needs of our learners.
  • Inspire a love for artistic expression while supporting students social, emotional, and behavioural development.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff alike.
  • Adapt your teaching to meet the needs of students with SEND, often using innovative, therapeutic approaches.
  • Support behaviour management strategies, including physical interventions (training provided).
  • Collaborate with a close-knit, committed team to foster a positive and empowering learning environment.
