The Chief Radiation Therapist will lead clinical operations for an outpatient Radiology and Imaging Services through rapid growth and expansion. With an award winning 200+ bed hospital, multiple community access hospitals, and a large clinic network, this Regional Health System has earned both local and national accolades for excellent stroke care, having and accredited chest pain center, and as a receiving center for wide array of trauma cases.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Radiation Oncology, the Radiation Therapy Chief will lead day-to-day clinical operations in a busy department. Supported by ARRT Radiation Oncology Technicians and a terrific Medical Assistant staff, this person will join a well-run department that feels like a tight family.
The ideal candidate will have ARRT Certification and experience leading clinical operations in a busy Radiation Oncology location, whether inpatient or outpatient. The Oncology Therapies Chief will serve in a key clinical and administrative role for this department. Some of the exciting aspects of this role include:
- Leading day-to-day operations, supporting the Radiation Therapy Staff and working directly with patients to provide Radiation Therapy
- Supporting staffing initiatives including scheduling, prioritizing operations and procedures, and coordinating workflows throughout the department
- Serving as a liaison with physicians and Medical Leadership, ensuring treatment plans are thoroughly developed and thoroughly followed
- Monitoring the department's quality improvement initiatives, providing key insights on ways to improve both clinical and administrative / operational metrics
- Providing leadership and management support to the Senior Manager in the periodic review and revision of department procedures and policies
