ECS is seeking an ARPA-H Technology Architect to work in our Remote office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

ECS is seeking talented and driven professionals to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). In this role, you will serve as a scientific and technical advisor to ARPA-H-enabling the agency to manage and provide oversight to advanced R&D efforts; help shape future R&D concepts, programs, and solutions; integrate and advance our nation's healthcare ecosystem processes, policies, and enabling technologies; and enable the agency to expand its healthcare and scientific scope into yet unknown areas. As a "systems engineering and technical assistance" advisor, you will provide support to R&D performer teams, Government Program Managers, and stakeholders across the health innovation ecosystem. Position Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Advisory:
    • Partner with strategic stakeholders to guide decision-making across enterprise software development, agile product management, and delivery processes.
    • Drive alignment between technology initiatives and mission priorities through strategic planning and execution.
  • Cloud Strategy Development:
    • Define and refine the organization's cloud strategy in alignment with mission objectives.
    • Select and evaluate appropriate cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) based on scalability, security, and cost considerations.
    • Design cloud architectures emphasizing resilience, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Solution Delivery:
    • Oversee the design and implementation of modern, cloud-based solutions tailored to federal government requirements.
    • Provide technical leadership in solution architecture, including web application development, system integrations, and workplace modernization initiatives.
  • Agile and DevOps Leadership:
    • Champion agile methodologies and DevOps practices to improve team productivity and project outcomes.
    • Collaborate with product owners and Scrum teams to deliver value-driven solutions efficiently and effectively.
  • Technology and Toolset Proficiency:
    • Lead initiatives leveraging tools like Atlassian Suite and Palantir for improved project tracking, analytics, and collaboration.
    • Guide adoption of workplace modernization technologies, ensuring compatibility with federal standards.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $200,000

General Description of Benefits
  • Master's in engineering or related fields.
  • 15 or more years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience delivering technology solutions to federal government entities.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their application in federal environments.
  • Hands-on expertise in SDLC, DevOps, and solution architecture for enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research, analyze data, and write reports.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and a passion for healthcare and scientific discovery.
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required.
