Area Sales Manager Job Summary: The Area Sales Manager is responsible for attainment of assigned business transient/group/catering goals tied to the overall performance of the hotel. The individual will be responsible for effectively soliciting and securing new accounts as well as maintaining existing clients/groups. Responsibilities:
- Effectively attain assigned sales and revenue goals
- Clear understanding of the hotels' business operations, brand, and revenue strategies.
- Proactively conduct solicitation calls, prospect, generate contracts and conduct sales tours.
- Maintain accounts, contacts, activity, and business details using Delphi.fdc/Amadeus.
- Clear understanding of hotel systems, RFP process, and brand tools.
- Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within your market.
- Maintain strong visibility in local community and industry organizations as applicable.
- Assist with the creation of annual Sales & Marketing plans.
- Attend daily/weekly/monthly meetings and any other functions required by management.
Necessary Skills: - Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
- Customer service focused while managing multiple tasks and being organized.
- Creative thinker who is solution oriented and possesses strong negotiating skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
