Area Manager

Summary

This position provides leadership and oversight across 4 retail locations and oversee a team of 8-10 employees. Core responsibility is to drive growth through the training and development of their teams. 100% field-based position; all functions will be performed while in one of the retail locations.

Management, Training and Development (40%)
  • Ongoing location visits
  • Responsible recruiting talent for the area and selecting the optimum talent
  • Facilitate and follow-up on new hire training
  • Ensure all employees have completed and passed all available training
  • Developmental conversations during visits
  • Perform regular follow up training in when necessary; determined by performance and observation
  • Scheduled weekly activities focused on developing a sustainable pipeline of talent
Sales (40%)
  • Develop sales goals based on predetermined budgets; lead each team in developing plan
  • Meet or exceed budgeted sales objectives within sales area each month
  • Meet or exceed KPI's for each location
Admin/Operations (20%)
  • Daily communication and follow up with business partners
  • Daily/monthly operational functions, i.e. scheduling, conference calls, KPI distribution, payroll
Requirements
  • MUST be passionate about health and wellness
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in business to consumer sales, successfully meeting or exceeding goals and expectations
  • Ability to travel throughout assigned local market to visit locations routinely
  • Above average presentation skills
  • Above average interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively mentor and motivate staff
  • Previous success with solutions selling
  • Must have a high selling aptitude and a successful track record
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to achieve goals through collaboration with marketing
  • Have a sense of urgency, and the ability to close deals consistently
  • Strong time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
