Architectural Iron Painter

Description

We are looking to fill several necessary roles in our shop. Applicants who can fill one or more roles will be highly considered.

We are looking for a Painter, Shop Helper, and Installation Helper for our ornamental metal products.

Working in the shop you would be helping to finish, prepare, and paint products such as gates, railings, fencing, furniture, structural steel, and many other metal items. Depending on the workload and day, you may also be assisting in the shop or possibly with on-site installations. Shop work may include cutting and cleaning parts for ongoing projects in the shop to assist other fabricators.

As an Installation Helper, you would be helping one of our install crews to install items such as gates, fencing, or railings.

We are looking for hard workers who are also detail-oriented to maintain our high level of quality in our products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal products for paint

• Quality control products

• Prime and Paint metal products such as gates, railings, fencing, and furniture

• Sort and stage products for installation crews to load

• Label products with tags

• Maintain and keep painting equipment clean

• Sort and keep paint inventory organized

• Touch-up paint on-site after products are installed

• Assist with cutting and cleaning materials in the shop

• Assist with other shop operations such as drilling, punching

• Assist with installations on-site

Qualifications

• Painting and prep experience

• Experience with HVLP or Pressure Pot Painting

• You must be dependable

• Be able to work independently as well as with a team

• The applicant is required to have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation

• Must be able to read a tape measure, have basic math and blueprint reading skills

• Must be detail-oriented

• Must be able to perform the job safely and with a strong sense of quality

• Spanish is a plus

• Must have a driver's license

• Ability to drive a forklift is a plus

• Knowledge of various anchoring techniques to various substrates
