Description Aquatic Fitness Instructor The fitness department supports close to 100 classes a week of a variety of formats across our 6 recreation facilities and 8 aquatic facilities. THPRD Fitness is in search of a qualified
Aquatic Fitness Instructor who will be responsible for planning, instructing, and leading a variety of aquatic group exercise classes dependent upon their certifications and specializations.
Classes will take place both inside and outdoors at one of our amazing aquatic centers. Our classes are attended by the community at large (all ages, abilities, backgrounds, and interests), so we need to team members with the ability to support the needs individuals as well as manage group dynamics.
We are searching for an energetic, certified Aquatic Fitness Instructor to keep our patrons safe: physically, by gauging and adjusting programming to meet each patron's ability and skill level; mentally, and by encouraging and building a positive community with our patrons. Instructors must have the ability to demonstrate safe exercise techniques.
For aquatic classes, fitness instructors must work from the deck to assess the physical exertion of participants and ensure safety, be visible to all, and engage all participants.Qualifications: - Current certification through an accredited organization (such as ACE, AFAA, or AEA) and/or certification specific to the format you teach is required
- Current CPR, First Aid, AED certification, or willing to obtain/renew upon hire
- 2+ years' experience teaching

Leave - Paid Time Off - Paid leave type for part-time variable and part-time benefits (PTB) eligible employees. (available to PT and PTB only)
