Job Details Job Description Computer World Services Corp. (CWS) is seeking qualified candidates to support an engineering effort in the National Capital Region (NCR). The work scope is to plan, design, test, build, implement, deploy, and transition Information Technology (IT) solutions to meet various customer requirements in the NCR. Selected candidates will provide customers with seamless transitions to leading edge solutions which meet security requirements and provide operations and maintenance for development and test environments and provide specialized support for mission specific systems and applications. The Apps O&M SME shall serve as the knowledge expert to ensure availability, performance and security of all applications within the application portfolio. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Perform computer system engineering, including hardware and software analysis, system integration, and system maintenance. Communicate technical subjects to nontechnical staff. Implement, configure and secure networks, servers, and systems management capabilities, including Public Key Infrastructure Provide IT customer support including computer server and workstation installation, diagnosis and repair, technical writing, computer security, knowledge management, database administration, design and management, system maintenance, information technology project management, and information system testing. Job Requirements: Education & Experience Bachelor's in science degree in Computer Engineering, computer information systems, telecommunications, or management information systems, or 5 recent years of documented experience relevant to this key position Five years of progressively more responsible experience in computer system engineering; hardware and software analysis, system integration, and system maintenance. Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate technical subjects to nontechnical staff are required. Minimum three years of experience in the following computer related areas: Networks, Servers, and systems management; Public Key Infrastructure, IT customer support; computer server and workstation installation, diagnosis and repair; technical writing; computer security; knowledge management; database administration, design and management; system maintenance; information technology project management; Information System Testing. Knowledge of a range of current information technologies, computing platforms, and network systems, such as: cloud computing, blade server, unified communications, collaboration tools, cryptographic systems, social networks tools, enterprise services bus. 3 years' experience securing Operating Systems to comply with DISA STIGs; network experience configuring and maintaining desktop firewalls. Experience configuring security policies to protect system applications. Knowledge of a range of current information technologies, computing platforms, and network systems, such as: cloud computing, blade server, unified communications, collaboration tools, cryptographic systems, social networks tools, enterprise services bus. 3 years' experience securing Operating Systems to comply with DISA STIGs; network experience configuring and maintaining desktop firewalls. Experience configuring security policies to protect system applications.
