The Applications Engineer is responsible for planning, conducting and reporting on various engineering projects assigned by superiors within the Cable Evaluation & Development Laboratory. Responsibilities: Develop an understanding of electrical laboratory test equipment and procedures with an emphasis on safety. 2. Obtain an understanding of cable constructions, cable accessories and industry standards (ICEA, IEEE, UL, AEIC, NEC, ASTM
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Data Management, good verbal and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, mechanically proficient and possess a fundamental understanding of electrical circuits.

With today's focus on renewable energy, Okonite cables can be found at Wind Farms, Solar Farms, and Biofuel generating facilities.
