Our North American Semiconductor group is searching for an experienced Applications Engineer to join our team in Tempe, AZ.
In this exciting role, you will: - Manage engineering and commercial content to support sales in semiconductor segment.
- Translates requirements of technical documents into the equipment and software configurations required for sales.
- Technical liaison between customer's technology groups and HORIBA groups in Japan to expand the business in current and new areas.
- Under sales' guidance, engages in customer consultation for problem-solving and customer specific applications to establish solutions, part numbers, specifications and commercial items.
- Assists Sales with training activities / content development of customer-facing materials.
You will bring the following skills and knowledge: - Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, Chemistry, or other related field.
- Ability to accurately assess customer's engineering needs and to recommend the most appropriate product or service.
- Ability to guide direct and respond to technical queries at the system level.
- Ability to provide timely and complete product and service proposals.
- Ability to develop new applications & engineering opportunities to work effectively with internal departments to provide the highest level of customer service possible.
- Bilingual English/Japanese preferred
