We are currently looking for an Applications Engineer to support our Trucent Industrial Technologies division in Noblesville Indiana. The Application Engineer plays a critical role in the sales process by conducting deep technical discoveries, assessing customer facilities, and architecting appropriate solutions. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, customer engagement, and hands-on support, including P&ID development, conceptual layouts, cost estimation, and occasional commissioning assistance.

Additional Responsibilities: - Conduct on-site assessments at customer facilities to understand process requirements and operational constraints.
- Develop P&ID diagrams and basic conceptual layouts to communicate system design.
- Identify key filtration and separation challenges and propose tailored solutions.
- Work closely with the sales team to translate customer needs into actionable solutions.
- Size and select filtration / separation technologies based on process needs and requirements.
- Develop cost estimates and support proposal/quote development.
- Collaborate with engineering and procurement to assess material and production costs.
- Ensure technical accuracy and feasibility of proposed solutions.
- Serve as a technical resource during customer interactions, providing in-depth knowledge of system capabilities.
- Support the sales team with technical presentations and documentation.
- Bridge the gap between engineering, sales, and service teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide support for system start-ups and commissioning alongside Industrial Applications Specialists.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during implementation.
- Document findings from field visits to improve future designs and processes.
Position Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Experience: 5+ years in an industrial setting, preferably in application engineering, technical sales, or a related role.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong understanding of separation and filtration technologies.
- Ability to create and interpret P&ID diagrams and basic layouts.
- Experience with cost estimation and proposal development.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
- Strong hands-on problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Highly self-motivated, resourceful individuals who works well with limited supervision and has strong attention to detail.
Travel: Moderate travel may be required for this position. (30-50%)
