Position Overview As an Application Engineer, you will serve as the technical and project lead for new sales opportunities, quotes, and customer orders. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure seamless execution from quote development to delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesSafety - Champion a safety-first culture by adhering to and promoting safety protocols.
- Wear required PPE and follow safety precautions in all work environments.
Quotes & Proposals - Communicate with customers and prospects via phone, email, and in-person to gather critical information for quoting.
- Utilize ERP systems to set up quotes and manage customer data.
- Review and interpret customer drawings, specifications, and RFQ requirements.
- Develop bills of materials (BOMs) and manufacturing processes for accurate cost estimation.
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and technical write-ups to support proposals.
- Submit completed quotes and proposals to customers while ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
Sales Order Support - Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for new orders, guiding internal teams through the manufacturing process.
- Serve as the technical liaison between EEC and customers to address questions and requirements.
- Generate purchase requisitions for required materials or components.
- Ensure adherence to configuration management and change control for accurate product revisions.
Export Compliance - Review customer-provided documentation to determine if items are classified under ITAR or CCL regulations.
- Prepare supporting documentation for export licenses, including DSP-5 applications and ECCN determinations.
Supporting EEC Departments - Provide technical assistance to sales personnel and internal departments such as Engineering, Quality, and Operations.
- Travel to customer locations to support growth opportunities and foster relationships.
- Back up and assist other team members to sustain department operations during peak periods.
Mandatory RequirementsEducation/Knowledge/Certification- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Experience- Up to one year of experience in a similar role is preferred.
Skills and Tools - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Communication- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
