Role: Application Engineer III - (E3)
Location: Santa Clara, CA or Gloucester, MA
( Onsite). Also open to OR, NY, ID, AZ, TX
Overview Requires in-depth knowledge and experience. Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. Works independently, receives minimal guidance. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, comes up with innovative solutions. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
General Profile Fully demonstrates in-depth knowledge and experience with semiconductor manufacturing process development or tool development & maintenance, especially for implanter tools. Understands how the semiconductor manufacturing SPC/FDC were used for troubleshooting and tool maintenance for implanter tools. Have the basic knowledge of any of the programing languages, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, C/C . Proves the teamwork capabilities/skills from the previous work experiences.
Key Responsibilities - Developing and optimizing data collection plans
- Provides AGS DT support for R&D evals and ELS packages
- Supports FSO team to enable demonstration of capabilities
- Owns filed PSE engagement, training, deployment and field demonstration
- Aligns with SBU/FSO/FV/Sales/Marketing on customer HVPs, and communicates high-value DT capabilities to address HVPs
- Supports SBU common DT requirements and roadmaps
- Engage on service product development including NPI alpha in lab and optimization at customer sites.
- Deploy New service products to solve customer HVPs in troubleshoot issues in fabs and validate value in the field.
- Lead and support projects to deliver to KPIs for success at customer site.
- Communicate clearly and timely to both internal and external customers on progress vs plan, results, next steps, and help needed.
- Document BKMs and procedures to help develop training material and train the trainer.
- Travel to international locations at 25%
- Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines
Qualifications - Master's Degree in engineering discipline preferred
- 5 10 Years (preferably with experience in Semiconductor industry)
- Any prior experience working as a process engineer or a customer engineer is a plus
- Has Knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
- Years of experience of semiconductor process and tool knowledge on at least one tool type (Implanter tool and process experience is preferred.)
- Understand customers' HVPs and BU's development requests
- Experience in high volume 300mm or Display manufacturing is preferred
- Direct experience of algorithm writing (e.g., R, Python) is a plus.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
