Summary
Provides technical training and support for specific applications encompassing portable metrology in the manufacturing industry for key customers.
Job Responsibilities
Performs software and hardware training for key customers in Williamsburg. VA ( USA) - Onsite
Frequently travels to conduct training for major manufacturing companies across the US
Provides technical support to customers virtually and in-person
Creates and edits training material and technical documentation
Assists regional sales team in providing support for local customers
Maintains positive customer relationships through effective interaction
Continually develops in-depth knowledge and understanding of Hexagon's broad and expanding product portfolio
Generates additional business through positive interactions with customers during onsite visits
Keeps up with advancements in application engineering and modern technologies
Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable speaking before small groups
Proficient with MS Office
Eager to learn new skills for modern advanced technologies
Experience with 3D engineering software
Able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
Strong Customer Service Skills
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience
6 months to 2 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or similar environment
Physical Demands
Frequently in a stationary position for long periods of time; occasional bending/kneeling
Manual dexterity required for keyboard use, operating equipment, grasping objects
Regularly move around the office and factory floor to manipulate metrology equipment
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception and adjust focus
Frequently communicates with other employees and customers
Work Environment
Primarily a customer onsite setting, with frequent visits to the factory floor
Work-from-home allowed in a low-noise environment for meetings and calls on no-travel weeks
Paid travel to various locations on East Coast, and occasionally Midwest, West Coast, or Canada
Office space also provided and is clean, orderly, properly lighted, and ventilated
Factory noise levels are considered moderate
When required, PPE will be provided
Will require travel up to 70%
