Job Description
The Sparrow Analytics and IT department is made up of
enterprising critical thinkerswho enjoy solving problems and improving process and systems in healthcare - a field which serves an important public purpose.
Our department supports all analytic, application development, business intelligence and technical infrastructure needs for the health system: administration, data analytics, clinical, facilities, finance, human resources, informatics, insurance, patient care, project management, supply chain and all systems/technology.

General Purpose of Job:
Design and implement application systems and work continually to improve application through upgrades, expansion and other projects.
Essential Duties:
This job description is intended to cover the minimum essential duties assigned on a regular basis. Caregivers may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned by their leader. Leadership has the right to alter or modify the duties of the position.- Participate in analyzing, designing and implementing application systems.
- Work to continually improve applications through upgrades, expansion, and other projects.
- Trouble shoot application issues, identify root cause and work with customers to implement resolution
- Execute small scale optimization related projects
- Escalate issues to vendors
- Develop test scripts for new functionality
- Own sub-projects of larger projects led by intermediate and senior analysts
Job Requirements
General Requirements
Must achieve Epic certification or have completed assigned training courses and achieved demonstrable mastery of other application within 120 days of hire.
Work Experience
Analytic experience in a healthcare or IT environment - preferred.
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in math, computer science, engineering or other analytic field OR associates degree and 3+ years of professional experience.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrable and strong problem solving skills Good written and verbal communications skills Strong interpersonal skills Professionalism Desire for meaningful work and real responsibility Customer service skills Demonstrates ability to use a keyboard as may be required to perform the essential duties of the job.
