Face-to-Face on May 15th and 16th, 2025, in Plano, TX
Key Responsibilities: - Deliver incident management and advanced L1/L2 support for internal applications on public cloud platforms, with a focus on AWS.
- Act as the first point of contact for application developers via ticketing systems.
- Communicate effectively with users across all levels of the organization.
- Implement automation solutions to improve environment scalability.
- Optimize operational processes to increase efficiency, reliability, and security.
- Train end users to self-diagnose and troubleshoot issues for faster resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis on incidents and document preventive strategies.
- Provide expert-level support for AWS and related cloud services.
- Manage and troubleshoot events and incidents promptly.
- Build scalable automation processes to manage large-scale tasks.
- Analyze and debug incidents, incorporating feedback loops to improve future outcomes.
- Support various development environments including Unix, Linux, Mainframe, and Windows.
Required Skills & Experience: - Strong understanding of SDLC with the ability to read Java and Python code.
- Hands-on scripting experience with Unix shell and Python.
- Extensive cloud experience, particularly AWS.
- Kubernetes expertise.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in enterprise security and access management.
- Database management experience (Oracle DBA, Cassandra DBA, CockroachDB) - including performance tuning, connectivity, backups, indexes, and alarm monitoring.
- Middleware and messaging experience (Kafka, MQ).
- Experience with Tomcat application server.
- Unix/Linux system engineering and administration skills.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace) and ticketing systems.
- Strong commitment to automation and process improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to analyze root causes, troubleshoot, and implement preventative measures to maintain system reliability and security.
