Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist for a long-term hybrid contract position based in Austin, Texas. This role will focus on providing application support, including the analysis of application functionality, data processing, and resolving data corrections to ensure the continuity of critical agency services.
The specialist may be required to modify and correct existing applications or develop new software solutions to address issues as they arise. This position also involves creating and maintaining support documentation for both new and existing software systems to ensure clarity and sustainability of technical operations.
Responsibilities: - Provide day-to-day application support for mission-critical systems
- nalyze existing application functionality and identify areas for improvement or correction
- Process and troubleshoot data to resolve issues and maintain service functionality
- Modify existing applications or develop new code to address identified problems
- Create technical documentation to support system processes and future development
- Collaborate with technical teams to maintain a stable and efficient production environment
Candidate Skills and Qualifications Minimum Requirements: - 8 years of experience working with DB2 databases
- 3 years of experience on AIX, Unix, or Linux platforms
- 3 years of experience with shell programming or scripting
Preferred Experience: - 5 years of experience with DB2 on Z/OS
