Application Support and Migration Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring our applications run smoothly, securely, and efficiently while supporting key migration and upgrade projects.
What You'll Do: 1. Application Migration and Upgrades - Plan and execute the movement of applications to new platforms or systems.
- Test and implement system upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Collaborate with internal and external tech teams to ensure smooth transitions.
2. Troubleshooting and Maintenance - Investigate and resolve application errors, crashes, and performance issues.
- Analyze and address root causes of recurring issues.
- Participate in incident management and disaster recovery exercises.
3. Security and Compliance - Ensure applications meet security and regulatory standards.
- Manage certificate renewals and system patches to keep systems secure.
- Provide audit documentation and respond to information requests.
4. Collaboration and Relationship Management - Build strong relationships with business partners, technical teams, and vendors.
- Communicate effectively to identify and resolve issues.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
5. Documentation and Process Improvement - Maintain detailed documentation of workflows, system changes, and incident reports.
- Recommend and implement improvements to processes and systems.
What You'll Bring: - Experience: 3-5 years in application support, with 1-3 years in banking or financial services.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (Change, Incident, and Problem Management).
- Experience with public cloud services (Azure preferred).
- General understanding of networking concepts, SQL query writing, and file integration.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to embrace and advocate for change.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Nice-to-Have Skills: - Familiarity with Privileged Access Management (PAM) and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
- Experience with workflows, forms, and report generation.
