What does the Applications Specialist - AthenaOne EHR do? Under direct supervision, supports, maintains, and resolves problems with the company's clinical applications. Masters the company's suite of information technologies to enhance processes, and communications and develops close relationships with users to ensure consistent customer service. Applies information technologies in the timely design, implementation and installation of high-quality solutions for the company. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities The essential duties and responsibilities: - Subject Matter Expert (SME) on data, informatics, and analytics regarding iKnowMed Generation 2.
- Supports HL7 lab, imaging interfaces; maintains, troubleshoots and resolves problems relating to company clinical applications.
- Achieves a high level of customer service and communication with clients.
- Maintains a high level of understanding of the use of information technologies in healthcare in relation to physician practices, patient care, continuum of care, electronic medical records and clinical research.
- Works with other IT staff to deploy company strategies in the field and resolve problems.
- Gains a working knowledge of the company's business drivers and determines opportunities/benefits for improvement of business performance by using information technologies.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related discipline with 0-3 years experience implementing client/server based information systems.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records, relational databases, client servers, internet architecture and applications implementations.
- Project leadership skills preferred.
- Clinical knowledge/experience preferred.
