A reputable energy and power company is looking to hire an Application Security Manager for their Fairfax, VA team. As a leader in their space, this group provides avenues for price and liquidity risk management solutions to their large scale and high profile power customers. This will be a key hire for the organization, trending quickly towards leadership and management of their security function.
As the AppSec Manager, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the security posture and protocols for the organization. The ideal candidate will be somewhat of a generalist, with both hands on and leadership experience - playing a player/coach role in this growing department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and push solutions to an ever evolving security department.
- Develop and monitor automated scanning systems to identify and fix application level vulnerabilities.
- Participate in external security assessments
- Communicate vulnerabilities identified by third-party testing services.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in both a programming and security role
- SAST/DAST tooling experience
- Knowledge of Penetration Testing Techniques
- Experience managing and/or mentoring junior staff
- Experience with IaaS tools
- System Configuration, Anti-Malware experience
