Position: Application Engineer - Packaging Solutions
Purpose:
Drive tailored packaging innovations by collaborating across teams to meet customer needs with optimized, cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Collaboration & Sales Support
- Partner with the sales team to understand customer needs and co-develop packaging solutions.
- Support pricing evaluations and technical discussions.
Packaging Design & Development
- Create innovative, cost-efficient packaging using CAD software.
- Evaluate prototypes, ensuring they meet specs and performance standards.
Cross-Functional Project Execution
- Coordinate with product development, manufacturing, procurement, and R&D.
- Align packaging design with production capabilities and project goals.
Technical Expertise & Support
- Troubleshoot issues and advise customers, sales, and internal teams.
- Conduct feasibility studies considering cost, sustainability, and logistics.
Continuous Improvement
- Monitor trends and tech advancements to drive innovation.
- Propose enhancements to existing packaging systems.
Documentation
- Deliver clear, accurate technical specs, reports, and drawings.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Experience
- Strong background in packaging engineering; CAD expertise required.
