Application Engineer. The
Application Engineer will be responsible for managing R&D projects on Suspension Components from ideation to demonstration in a multifunctional project team involving internal and external partners
This role requires hands on experience with suspension product development and testing Application Engineer Responsibilities:- Manage product specifications and CAD/CAE modeling
- Coordinate parts fabrication and testing for concept validation, with Manufacturing Facilities/Labs, and customer test and evaluations when required
- Develop technical benchmark on New technologies and Competitor Analysis
- Support with R&D Team to develop Suspension applications to create value added to compete into automotive or alternative market. Promote demo vehicles
Application Engineer Requirements:- Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering field (Mechanical/Automotive Engineering preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in automotive suspension product development, preferably in globally operating manufacturing companies within the controlled environment industry
- Skilled in 3D CAD programs (SolidWorks, CATIA or NX are preferred) for design work
- Familiar with Structural Analysis. CAE (Ansys/Abaqus/Nastran, or equivalent)
- Knowledge in Suspension Components manufacturing and processes involving metal
- Skilled in communication (Oral and Written), follow-up & documentation
- Experience in Project Management and proven leadership skills
- Vehicle Mechanics hands-on experience. With basic knowledge and interested to learn on sheet metal forming/welding, CNC and machine shop tools
- Ability to travel worldwide to customers, suppliers and end users
