Position Summary
It is the responsibility of the Application Engineer to support application designs on the product line.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for project management of new application designs and requirements as specified by customers.
- Interacts and coordinates designs with Design Engineering.
- Creates and maintains manufacturing processes relative to the assigned product line.
- Provides technical training to manufacturing and quality staff.
- Writes technical specifications for equipment.
- Evaluates bids from vendors, analyzes and interprets technical requirements from customer inquiries and specifications.
- Works as a support role for Product Managers.
- Coordinates with Operations to ensure quoted product is viable.
- Provides technical support to Marketing regarding sales inquiries, equipment application, and engineering analysis.
- Develops and coordinates project plans, communicating changes and progress.
- Responds promptly to customer requests for service and assistance.
- Develops effective relationships with distributors, regional sales managers, and customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required; BSME, BSIE, or BSEE is required.
- One to two years' related experience required.
- Hydraulic experience is preferred.
- Experience in fluid power industry and/or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Other Requirements
- Travel, including driving and overnight stays, is occasionally required.
